Bimbo Coles Autographs
Bimbo Coles is a retired American professional basketball player who played the point guard position. He was born on April 22, 1968, in Covington, Virginia. Coles attended Greenbrier East High School in Lewisburg, West Virginia, where he played basketball and football. He got a degree in sociology from Virginia Tech University, where he played college basketball for the Hokies. Coles is mostly known for his time in the NBA, where he played for eight different teams in a career spanning twelve seasons.
Coles was drafted by the Sacramento Kings in the second round of the 1990 NBA draft. He played for a season with the Kings before being traded to the Miami Heat, where he played for six seasons. Coles was known for his speed and quickness on the court, and was an excellent passer and scorer. He was a two-time NBA All-Rookie Second Team selection and played in the NBA playoffs five times during his career.
Coles played for other NBA teams such as the Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, and the Toronto Raptors before retiring in 2004. He finished his NBA career with a total of 6,683 points, 2,401 assists, and 1,234 rebounds. After retiring, Coles went on to coach basketball, working as an assistant coach at Virginia Tech, Marshall University, and NBA D-League team Canton Charge. He currently resides in the United States with his family.
