Bob Lanier Autographs

Bob LanierBob Lanier was a former professional basketball player from the United States. He was born on September 10, 1948, in Buffalo, New York. Lanier attended St. Bonaventure University, where he played college basketball and helped the team reach the Final Four in 1970. He was a standout player in college, and his performance earned him the nickname "Doberman." Lanier was later drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the first round of the 1970 NBA draft.
Lanier played for 14 seasons in the NBA, during which he was regarded as one of the best centers in the league. He was named to eight NBA All-Star teams, and he scored a total of 19,248 points in his career with an average of 20.1 points per game. He was also a powerful rebounder, grabbing a total of 9,698 rebounds in his career. Lanier ranks second on the Pistons' all-time scoring list and is considered one of the best players in the team's history.
Despite his success as a player, Lanier was forced to retire from basketball in 1984 due to injuries. After his retirement, he went on to work for the NBA in various roles, including as a coach, scout, and executive. In 1992, Lanier was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport. Today, he is known not only for his impressive career as a player, but also for his contributions to the growth and development of professional basketball in the United States.
