Bobby Jackson is a retired American professional basketball player who is best known for his successful career in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Born on March 13, 1973, in East Spencer, North Carolina, Jackson began his basketball journey in college where he played for two years at Western Nebraska Community College before transferring to the University of Minnesota. Jackson played for ten teams during his fourteen-year NBA career, with his most successful stint coming in 2002-2003 when he played for the Sacramento Kings. He played a crucial role as a sixth man for the team, helping them reach the Western Conference Finals against the eventual champions, the San Antonio Spurs. During his time with the Kings, the team won the Pacific Division title and reached the playoffs every season he was with them. Jackson was also awarded the NBA Sixth Man of the Year award for his impressive performances during the 2002-2003 season.

After retiring in 2009, Jackson went into coaching and has been involved in various coaching positions in both college and the NBA. He was an assistant coach for the Sacramento Kings from 2013 to 2019 before being appointed head coach of the Sacramento State Hornets men's basketball team in 2019. Despite his retirement from playing, Bobby Jackson’s impressive career as a professional basketball player has left a lasting impact on the game and continues to inspire young athletes around the world.
