Boris Diaw Autographs
Boris Diaw is a retired French professional basketball player born on April 16, 1982, in Cormeilles-en-Parisis, France. He started playing basketball at a young age, and his versatility on the court made him stand out from other players. Diaw played for Pau-Orthez before being selected as the 21st overall pick of the Atlanta Hawks in the 2003 NBA draft.
Diaw's NBA career spanned over 14 seasons, playing for the Hawks, Phoenix Suns, Charlotte Bobcats, San Antonio Spurs, and Utah Jazz. He was an integral part of the Suns' run-and-gun system during the mid-2000s, and his unselfish play earned him the NBA's Most Improved Player award in 2006. Diaw played a significant role in the Spurs' 2014 NBA championship run, where his passing and defense were crucial in the team's success. He retired on September 6, 2018, and moved on to join the French national basketball team, where he served as their captain in the 2019 FIBA World Cup.
Off the court, Diaw is known for his philanthropic efforts, particularly with his foundation, Babac'Ards. Through his foundation, he's worked to build basketball courts in Senegal to offer children and teens the opportunity to access sports and receive an education. In addition to his nonprofit work, Diaw enjoys photography and has recently published a book of his photos titled "Hoops Africa: U/Can."
