Bryant Reeves Autographs
Bryant Reeves is a former professional basketball player who spent his entire six-year career playing for the Vancouver Grizzlies in the NBA. Reeves was born on June 8th, 1973, in Gans, Oklahoma. As a high school player, Reeves was an All-State selection in basketball and earned the nickname "Big Country" due to his size and rural upbringing. Despite being heavily recruited, Reeves chose to stay in his home state and attend Oklahoma State University.
At Oklahoma State, Reeves became a dominant force on the basketball court. In his senior year, he led the Cowboys to a Big Eight Conference championship and was named the conference player of the year. Reeves was also named a consensus All-American, making him one of the top college basketball players in the country. These accolades and his impressive statistics led to him being drafted by the Vancouver Grizzlies with the sixth overall pick in the 1995 NBA Draft.
Reeves made an immediate impact for the Grizzlies, averaging 13.3 points and 7.4 rebounds per game in his rookie season. He quickly became one of the most popular players on the team, earning All-Rookie honors and finishing second in the Rookie of the Year voting. Despite facing injuries later in his career, Reeves was a consistent presence on the court and helped the Grizzlies reach their first ever playoff appearance in 1999. Though he retired in 2001 following six seasons in the league, he remains one of the most beloved players in franchise history.
