Carsen Edwards Autographs
Carsen Edwards is an American professional basketball player who currently plays as a shooting guard for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Born on March 12, 1998, in Atascocita, Texas, Edwards played college basketball for the Purdue Boilermakers before getting selected by the Celtics in the 2019 NBA Draft. At Purdue, he earned numerous awards and accolades, including Big Ten Player of the Year and a three-time First-Team All-Big Ten selection.
Edwards' basketball career started at Atascocita High School in Texas, where he led the team to two Class 6A state semifinals and a state runner-up finish in his senior year. In his freshman year at Purdue, Edwards was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team, averaging 10.3 points per game. In his sophomore year, Edwards had an outstanding season, leading the Boilermakers to a Big Ten regular-season title, earning the Big Ten Tournament Most Outstanding Player, and setting a single-game school record by scoring 28 points in the first half of a game against Illinois.
Edwards' junior season at Purdue was equally impressive as he scored 28.3 points per game in the NCAA Tournament, leading the team to the Elite Eight, where they lost to the eventual champions, Virginia. Edwards' stellar performances in the tournament earned him the title of Most Outstanding Player, and he broke Glen Rice's record as the highest scorer in a single NCAA Tournament since 1989. Following his college career, Edwards was selected by the Boston Celtics as the 33rd pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and has since played in 69 games in his first two seasons with the team, averaging 4.4 points per game.
