Cedi Osman is a Turkish professional basketball player born on April 8, 1995 in Macedonia. He began his professional career with the Turkish team Anadolu Efes in 2014, where he played for two seasons. He then joined the Turkish team Darüşşafaka, where he helped lead the team to the Turkish Basketball Super League title in 2018.
In 2017, Osman was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the NBA draft. He struggled to find consistent playing time in his first two seasons with the team, but he gradually improved and became a reliable contributor off the bench. By the 2020-21 season, Osman had become a key rotation player for the Cavaliers, averaging a career-high 11 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game.
Despite his successful career in the NBA, Osman continues to represent the Turkish national basketball team, where he has played since 2014. He has helped the team secure a number of victories in international competitions, including the gold medal at the 2013 Under-18 European Championships, and the bronze medal at the 2014 Under-20 European Championships. Through his hard work and dedication on the court, Osman has become a respected figure in the world of basketball and is considered one of the best players from Turkey.
