Cheryl Ford Autographs
Cheryl Ford is a retired basketball player who played in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). Born on June 6, 1981, in Louisiana, Cheryl was the daughter of a former NBA player, Karl Malone. Despite her father's success, Cheryl made a name for herself on the basketball court. At Louisiana Tech University, she led the Lady Techsters to three Final Four appearances and was named the NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player in 2002.
In 2003, Cheryl was the third overall pick in the WNBA draft by the Detroit Shock. Within her first year in the league, she was named the WNBA's Rookie of the Year. Cheryl played for the Shock for seven seasons, receiving two WNBA championships in 2003 and 2006. Throughout her career, Cheryl was known for her rebounding skills; she held the WNBA record for the most rebounds in a game with 24, and she led the league in rebounds per game for four consecutive seasons.
She finished her career with the Los Angeles Sparks in 2010 due to a knee injury, but despite this setback, Cheryl is arguably one of the greatest women's basketball players to play the game.
