Corey Maggette, born on November 12, 1979, is a retired American professional basketball player who played in the NBA for 14 seasons. He was born and raised in Illinois and attended Fenwick High School in Oak Park, where he led his team to two state championships. In 1999, Maggette was selected 13th overall by the Seattle SuperSonics in the NBA draft. He was immediately traded to the Orlando Magic and played for them for three seasons before being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. Maggette spent eight seasons with the Clippers, becoming one of the team's top scorers and earning a reputation as a fierce competitor on the court. He was known for his aggressive playing style and ability to draw fouls, which earned him the nickname "Bad Attitude."

After leaving the Clippers, Maggette played for several other NBA teams, including the Golden State Warriors, Milwaukee Bucks, Charlotte Bobcats, and Detroit Pistons. He retired from professional basketball after the 2013-2014 season and now works as a basketball analyst for Fox Sports. Throughout his career, Maggette was known for his scoring ability and physicality on the court. He scored over 10,000 points in his NBA career and was named to the All-Rookie second team in 2000.
