Damon Stoudamire Autographs
Damon Stoudamire is a retired professional basketball player who played point guard in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for twelve seasons. He was born on September 3, 1973, in Portland, Oregon. Stoudamire grew up in the city of Portland and attended Woodrow Wilson High School. He was an outstanding high school athlete and played basketball and football. Stoudamire went on to play college basketball for the University of Arizona and was named the Pac-10 Player of the Year in 1995.
Stoudamire was selected seventh overall in the 1995 NBA draft by the Toronto Raptors. He played for the Raptors from 1995 to 1998 before being traded to the Portland Trail Blazers. Stoudamire played for the Blazers from 1998 to 2005, where he had some of his best seasons. In the 1999-2000 season, he led Portland to the Western Conference Finals, where they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers. Stoudamire also played for the Memphis Grizzlies and the San Antonio Spurs during his career. He retired from the NBA in 2008 with career averages of 13.4 points, 6.1 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game.
Throughout his basketball career, Stoudamire was known for his quickness, ball-handling skills, and ability to shoot from beyond the arc. He was also recognized for his leadership on the court and his competitive spirit. Stoudamire was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 1996 and was selected to play in the NBA All-Star Game in 2003. He also played for the US national team in the 1994 World Championships, where they won the gold medal. Today, Stoudamire is an assistant coach for the Boston Celtics and continues to inspire young basketball players with his impressive career.
