He was, however, later traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he played for ten seasons and established himself as an NBA player worthy of recognition.
Ferry later continued his career with the San Antonio Spurs and the Charlotte Hornets, and he eventually retired from professional basketball in 2003. After his retirement, Ferry worked in management for multiple NBA teams, including the Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs. He also served a stint as the general manager of the Atlanta Hawks before resigning in 2015. Danny Ferry's love for basketball made him one of the best players of his time, and his contribution to the game was significant.
