Dennis Smith Autographs
Dennis Smith is a former American football player who spent his entire career as a safety for the Denver Broncos. Born on February 3, 1959, in Santa Monica, California, he attended Santa Monica High School and played college football at the University of Southern California. In 1981, he was drafted by the Broncos in the first round of the NFL draft, becoming the 15th overall pick.
Smith played for the Broncos from 1981 to 1994 and was known for his hard-hitting tackling and his ability to cover receivers. He helped the Broncos reach three Super Bowls in his career, winning back-to-back championships in 1998 and 1999. He was selected to six Pro Bowls and was a two-time First-Team All-Pro. In his 14-year career, he had 1,152 tackles, 30 interceptions, and 15 sacks. He is considered one of the best defensive players in Broncos history and is a member of the team's Ring of Fame.
After retiring from football, Smith worked as a color commentator for the Broncos' radio broadcasts for several years. He was also involved in various community service projects and founded the Dennis Smith Foundation, which provides scholarships and other resources for underprivileged youth in the Denver area. In 2011, he was inducted into the USC Athletic Hall of Fame in recognition of his contributions to college football. Today, Smith is retired and lives in Colorado with his family.
