Eric Montross Autographs
Eric Montross is a former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1994 to 2003. He was born on September 23, 1971, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and attended Lawrence North High School, where he played basketball. During his high school career, he led the team to a State Championship, and he was named Mr. Basketball in Indiana in his senior year.
After high school, Montross attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he continued his impressive basketball career. He played for the North Carolina Tar Heels from 1990 to 1994, and during his senior year, he helped the team win the National Championship. In his four years at North Carolina, Montross played in 136 games, scored 1,392 points, and grabbed 1,060 rebounds. In 1994, he was named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Player of the Year and was drafted by the Boston Celtics as the ninth overall pick.
In the NBA, Montross played for various teams, including the Boston Celtics, the Dallas Mavericks, the New Jersey Nets, the Philadelphia 76ers, and the Detroit Pistons. He was known for his strong defensive skills and was often used as a backup center. Montross played a total of 431 games in the NBA, averaging 4.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. After retiring from basketball, he became a basketball commentator for ESPN and is also involved in various philanthropic organizations.
