Erik Murphy Autographs
Erik Murphy is a basketball player born in Switzerland in 1990 to his American mother and Finnish father. He grew up playing basketball in various European countries such as France and Spain before moving to the United States to attend high school. Murphy attended St. Mark's School in Southborough, Massachusetts, where he played for the school's basketball team.
After graduating high school, Murphy attended the University of Florida where he played for the Florida Gators. During his college career, he was best known as an elite shooter from behind the arc, shooting 117 three-pointers in his senior year alone. Murphy was also a skilled defender and rebounder, leading the Gators in rebounds per game and earning SEC All-Defensive team honors. He helped lead the Gators to the Elite Eight during his senior year and is considered one of the best players in the program's history.
Following his college career, Murphy was drafted 49th overall by the Chicago Bulls in the 2013 NBA draft. He played for the Bulls and the Utah Jazz during his time in the NBA before primarily playing overseas. In EuroLeague, Murphy led the league in three-point shooting and earned a spot on the All-EuroLeague team. He is known for his shooting ability as well as his basketball IQ and has proven to be a valuable asset to every team he has played for. Off the court, Murphy is known for his charitable work and has participated in various community service initiatives throughout his career.
