Fat Lever Autographs
Fat Lever, born Lafayette Lever, is a former American professional basketball player who played in the NBA from 1982 to 1994. He was born on August 18, 1960, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. During his high school years, Lever was an outstanding athlete, excelling in both basketball and football. However, he decided to pursue basketball and played college basketball for Arizona State University.
After college, Lever was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 1982 NBA Draft, where he began his professional basketball career. However, Lever's true breakout performance came when he was traded to the Denver Nuggets in 1984. Lever had an incredible six seasons with the Nuggets, becoming one of the most versatile and consistent players in the league. In 1987, he led the league in triple-doubles, and he became the only player in NBA history to record 1,500 rebounds, 1,500 assists, and 2,000 points in a single season. Lever was again traded in 1994 to the Dallas Mavericks, where he played in his final season before retiring.
Lever's basketball career was filled with accolades and achievements. He was named an All-Star twice in 1988 and 1990, and he was also named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team three times. Lever is known as one of the most underrated point guards in NBA history, yet his style of play and versatility made him stand out among his peers. He was an all-around player who could score, rebound, pass, and play defense at a high level. Lever's dedication and hard work made him one of the most respected players during his time in the NBA, and his influence can still be felt today.
