After graduating in 1991, Anthony was drafted 12th overall by the New York Knicks. He quickly became a valuable role player on the team and was a key part of their success in the early 1990s. In 1996, he was traded to the Vancouver Grizzlies, where he became the starting point guard for two seasons. He then went on to play for the Seattle SuperSonics, Portland Trail Blazers, Chicago Bulls, and Milwaukee Bucks before retiring in 2002.

Throughout his NBA career, Anthony was known for his strong defense and his ability to run the offense effectively. He was also a great leader on the court, serving as a mentor to many young players.
