Horace Grant was born on July 4, 1965, in Augusta, Georgia. He is a retired American professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for 17 seasons. Grant was an imposing power forward who was famous for his strength, versatility, and exceptional rebounding skills. Horace Grant began his NBA career in 1987 when he was drafted in the first round by the Chicago Bulls. His rookie season was outstanding, averaging 10.4 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, making him one of the most promising forwards in the NBA. Later, Grant joined Michael Jordan, and they formed a formidable partnership that led the Chicago Bulls to three consecutive NBA titles from 1991-1993. In 1999, he joined the Orlando Magic, where he played for four seasons, and he also had stints with the Los Angeles Lakers and the New York Knicks.
