Jack Sikma Autographs
Jack Sikma is a former American professional basketball player who was born on November 14, 1955, in Kankakee, Illinois. Sikma's prowess in basketball saw him soar to great heights, playing for the NBA for more than a decade. He spent the bulk of his playing career with Seattle SuperSonics and Milwaukee Bucks, where he earned widespread recognition for his impressive shooting and rebounding abilities.
Sikma played his college basketball for the Illinois Wesleyan University Titans. In 1977, the Seattle SuperSonics picked him eighth overall in the NBA draft. Sikma's reputation grew relatively quickly in the NBA as a solid rebounder and post scorer. During his first six seasons with Seattle, the team qualified for postseason play five times, and Sikma was an integral part of the team's success. He also played a critical role in guiding the SuperSonics to their first and so far, the only NBA title in 1979.
In 1986 Sikma transferred to the Milwaukee Bucks, where he played until his retirement in 1991. His excellent skills and contributions to the game during his NBA career have led to him being selected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2019. Additionally, Sikma's jersey number 43 was retired by the SuperSonics, and he was also named a member of the SuperSonics All-Time team. With his remarkable achievements in both the college and the NBA, Sikma has become one of the most iconic figures in American basketball history.
