JaVale McGee Autographs
JaVale McGee is an American professional basketball player who was born on January 19, 1988, in Flint, Michigan. He currently plays as a center for the Denver Nuggets in the National Basketball Association (NBA). McGee initially attended high school in Michigan but later transferred to two different boarding schools in Virginia to improve his basketball skills. After finishing high school, he initially committed to play college basketball for the University of Nevada, Reno but later opted for the University of California, Las Angeles (UCLA).
In 2008, McGee was drafted by the Washington Wizards as the 18th overall pick in the first round of the NBA draft. He started his NBA career as a backup center but later became the team's starting center due to his impressive performances. In the 2011-2012 season, McGee was traded to the Denver Nuggets. During his first season with the team, he quickly adapted to their fast-paced style of play and became an integral part of their rotation. McGee continued to improve his game, especially in the areas of defense, rebounding, and shot blocking, which led him to be named one of the NBA's top 10 shot blockers in 2013 and 2014.
Over the years, McGee has had an impactful career in the NBA. He is known for his defensive prowess, shot blocking ability, and ability to finish with powerful dunks. He played a crucial role in helping the Golden State Warriors win two NBA championships in 2017 and 2018.
