Jeff Hornacek is a former NBA shooting guard who had a successful career spanning from 1986 to 2000. He played for three teams over the course of his career, including the Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz, and Philadelphia 76ers. One of his most notable accomplishments was being a vital member of the Utah Jazz during the 1997-1998 season, leading the team to the NBA Finals where they ultimately lost to the Chicago Bulls. Born in Elmhurst, Illinois in 1963, Hornacek showed an affinity for basketball at an early age. He played at Lyons Township High School where he averaged 15 points per game and led his team to an 18-5 record in his senior year. Following his high school career, he attended Iowa State University where he continued to excel, ultimately earning All-Big Eight honors in his senior year.

In 1986, Hornacek was selected by the Phoenix Suns in the second round of the NBA draft. He quickly adapted to life in the NBA, winning the NBA Three-Point Shootout in both 1990 and 1998. He was also named to the NBA All-Star team in 1992, 1995, and 1996. Throughout his career, he averaged 14.5 points, 4.9 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per game.
