Jim Pollard Autographs
Jim Pollard was an American professional basketball player who is widely regarded as one of the greatest forwards in basketball history. Born on July 9, 1922, in Oakland, California, Pollard showed exceptional basketball abilities from a young age. He played college basketball at Stanford University and later played for the Oakland Bittners and the team of the US Navy during World War II.
Pollard's professional basketball career began in 1948 when he signed with the Minneapolis Lakers, where he would play for the next ten seasons. During his career, Pollard was known for his speed, agility, and his ability to score from anywhere on the court. He was a six-time NBA Champion and was named to the All-NBA First Team four times. His career stats include 13,770 points and 4,241 rebounds in 615 games.
Pollard was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1978, and his jersey (#17) was retired by the Lakers in 1955. After retiring from basketball, Pollard went on to become a successful businessman, owning a number of car dealerships and other enterprises. He passed away on January 22, 1993, but his legacy as one of the greats of basketball history lives on.
