John Paxson is a former American Basketball player, who was born on September 29, 1960 in Dayton, Ohio. He was a standout basketball player at Archbishop Alter High School in Kettering, Ohio, where he earned a scholarship to play basketball at the University of Notre Dame. After college, Paxson was selected in the 1983 NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs, but he was traded to the Chicago Bulls before ever playing for the Spurs. He played for the Bulls from 1985-1994, during which he developed into one of the best three-point shooters in the NBA.
