John Salmons Autographs
John Yummiel Salmons is a retired American professional basketball player. Born on December 12, 1979, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Salmons played college basketball at the University of Miami. He was selected in the second round of the 2002 NBA draft by the San Antonio Spurs. Salmons played for twelve years in the NBA, playing for eight different teams. He was known for his versatility and ability to play multiple positions, making him a valuable asset to his teams.
After being drafted by the Spurs, Salmons was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Mark Bryant. In his rookie season with the 76ers, Salmons played in 76 games and averaged 2.8 points per game. He spent five seasons with the 76ers before being traded to the Sacramento Kings in 2006. He played for the Kings for three seasons and had his best statistical season in 2007-2008 when he averaged 18.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.
In addition to the 76ers and Kings, Salmons also played for the Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Raptors, Atlanta Hawks, New Orleans Pelicans, and the Miami Heat. He retired from the NBA in 2015, having played in a total of 878 games and averaging 9.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. Salmons' versatility and ability to play multiple positions made him a valuable asset to his teams throughout his career, and he is remembered as a reliable and hardworking player.
