Jon Sundvold Autographs
Jon Sundvold is a former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for seven seasons between 1983 and 1992. Sundvold was born on July 2, 1961, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and grew up in Blue Springs, Missouri. He attended the University of Missouri and played for the Missouri Tigers basketball team from 1979 to 1983.
Sundvold was drafted in the second round of the 1983 NBA draft by the Seattle Supersonics, but he was immediately traded to the San Antonio Spurs. During his career, he played for the Spurs, the Miami Heat, and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Sundvold was known for his accurate shooting and was regarded as one of the best three-point shooters in the NBA during his playing days. He retired from professional basketball in 1992 and became a radio and television commentator for college and NBA games.
Sundvold was also a member of the United States men's national basketball team that won the gold medal in the 1985 World University Games in Kobe, Japan. He was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in 1999 and received the University of Missouri's Greater St. Louis Alumni Association's Distinguished Alumni Award in 2006. Sundvold's basketball career was marked by his deadly accuracy from beyond the arc, and his shooting percentage in the NBA was consistently above 40%. With his skills on the court and his contributions as a commentator, Jon Sundvold remains a highly respected figure in basketball even today.
