Josh Hall is an American basketball player who was born on October 7, 2000, in Durham, North Carolina. Hall attended Moravian Prep in Hickory, North Carolina, where he played high school basketball. He was known for his athleticism and scoring ability, which caught the attention of college recruiters. Hall was ranked as a four-star recruit and the 45th best player in the class of 2020 by ESPN.
In 2020, Hall decided to forego college basketball and instead entered the NBA G League draft. He was selected by the Oklahoma City Blue with the 23rd pick in the first round. Hall played in 11 games for the Blue during the 2020-2021 season, averaging 8.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game. Despite a limited number of games played, Hall impressed scouts with his size, athleticism, and potential.
In February 2021, Hall signed a two-way contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder, which allows him to split time between the Thunder and their G League affiliate, the Blue. Hall made his NBA debut on March 16, 2021, and played a total of nine games with the Thunder during the 2020-2021 season, averaging 4.3 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. At just 20 years old, Hall is considered a promising young talent with a bright future in professional basketball.
