Josh Hart is an American professional basketball player who currently plays as a shooting guard for the New Orleans Pelicans in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Born on March 6, 1995, in Silver Spring, Maryland, Hart grew up playing basketball from a very young age. He attended Sidwell Friends School in Washington D.C. before enrolling at Villanova University in 2013.
Hart's basketball career began to flourish during his time at Villanova where he played for the Wildcats for four years from 2013 to 2017. He helped his team to win the NCAA championship in 2016 and was named the Big East Player of the Year in 2017. During his college career, Hart was known for his impressive shooting, agility and defensive skills. More importantly, his work ethic and consistency in performance set him apart from his peers.
After completing college, Hart was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 30th overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft. He played for the Lakers for two seasons before being traded to the New Orleans Pelicans. Hart has since become an integral part of the Pelicans' squad, averaging 9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. He has also shown a willingness to contribute to the team in various ways, including making key plays on defense and battling for rebounds. Hart's basketball career has been a remarkable journey, and he continues to impress with his tenacity and dedication to the game.
