Juan Toscano-Anderson is a Mexican-American professional basketball player born on April 10, 1993, in Oakland, California. He attended Castro Valley High School where he played basketball for the school team. After graduation, Toscano-Anderson attended Marquette University for a year before transferring to California State University East Bay where he played basketball for the university team. In his junior year, Toscano-Anderson was named to the All-California Collegiate Athletic Association first team after averaging 15.9 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game. After graduating from university, Toscano-Anderson went undrafted in the 2015 NBA draft but continued his basketball career in Mexico with the Fuerza Regia Monterrey. In 2018, Toscano-Anderson joined the Santa Cruz Warriors, the Golden State Warriors' affiliate in the NBA G League. He played well enough for the team, averaging 12.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, to earn a contract with the Golden State Warriors.
