Born on November 29, 1994, in Dallas, Texas, Julius Randle is a professional basketball player in the NBA. He attended Kentucky University, where he played for one year before being drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers as the seventh overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft. He was highly regarded for his athleticism, strength, and skillfully performed post moves, making him a dominant power forward in the league.
Randle played for the Los Angeles Lakers for four seasons before being traded to the New Orleans Pelicans in 2018. While with the Lakers, he averaged 16.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game. Randle continued to thrive in his first season with the Pelicans, posting career-highs in points per game (21.4) and rebounds per game (8.7). He continued to build on his success during the 2019-2020 season, averaging 19.3 points and 9.4 rebounds per game.
Julius Randle's basketball career is marked with multiple achievements, such as his selection to participate in the NBA Rising Stars Challenge, his nomination for NBA Rookie of the Year in the 2014-2015 season, and selection as an NBA All-Rookie First Team for the same season.
