Landry Shamet Autographs
Landry Shamet was born on March 13, 1997, in Kansas City, Missouri, and grew up in his hometown, playing basketball at Park Hill High School. As a young player, he made a name for himself with his sharp-shooting skills, and his excellent three-point range earned him a scholarship to Wichita State University. As a freshman, Shamet made an instant impact on the team, helping them to a 31-5 record and a spot in the NCAA tournament. During his sophomore season, he became a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) standout, averaging 14.9 points and 5.2 assists per game, earning him a spot on the American Athletic Conference All-Conference First Team.
After two impressive seasons in college, Shamet declared for the NBA draft in 2018 and was picked by the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round as the 26th overall selection. Though he was not a starter initially, he quickly made an impact as a sharpshooting guard who could hit from outside the arc. During his rookie season, Shamet played in 79 games, averaging 9.1 points, while shooting 42.2 percent from three-point range, which ranked third in the NBA. He also set a franchise record by scoring at least five triples in six games. In his second season with the 76ers, Shamet averaged 9.3 points per game, and he ranked second among all rookies with 167 three-pointers made.
Following that season, Shamet was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, where he continued to hone his shooting and playmaking skills. He played in 53 games, averaging 9.3 points and 1.9 assists per game. In February 2021, he was traded once again, this time to the Brooklyn Nets, where he teamed up with basketball superstars Kevin Durant and James Harden. In Brooklyn, Shamet became a valuable bench player, using his sharpshooting once again to help his team secure victories. As of the end of the 2020-2021 NBA season, Shamet has scored 1,388 points, made 302 three-pointers, and played in 211 games.
