Lenny Wilkens is one of the most successful basketball players and coaches in the history of the sport. Born on October 28, 1937, in New York City, Wilkens spent most of his early career playing for the St. Louis Hawks. After his playing days ended, Wilkens transitioned to the coaching side of basketball. He first coached the Seattle SuperSonics, where he led the team to its first NBA championship in 1979. Wilkens then went on to coach four other teams - the Cleveland Cavaliers, Atlanta Hawks, Toronto Raptors, and New York Knicks.
