Loren Meyer Autographs
Loren Meyer is a former American professional basketball player who was born on June 22, 1972, in Antioch, California. He was a dominant player in the post position and spent his college career playing for Iowa State University. He was a star player at his college, becoming the only player in the school's history to record more than 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, and 200 blocked shots. This accomplishment earned him All-American honors, and in 1995, he was named the Big Eight Conference Player of the Year.
In 1995, Loren Meyer was selected by the Dallas Mavericks in the first round, as the 24th overall pick, in the NBA Draft. He played four seasons for the Mavericks, but his professional basketball career was short-lived due to chronic injuries. Meyer's most impressive game in the NBA came in his rookie season, when he scored 17 points and had 19 rebounds in a game against the Detroit Pistons. Unfortunately, his career would be limited to just 156 games.
Despite his short-lived NBA career, Loren Meyer will always be remembered as one of the greatest basketball players in Iowa State's history. After his stint in the NBA, he coached high school basketball for a while, but he eventually left coaching and worked as an insurance agent. Loren Meyer will forever be remembered as one of the greatest college basketball players to come out of the state of Iowa.
