Lucius Allen Autographs
Lucius Allen was born on September 26, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri. Growing up, Allen showed a natural talent for basketball, and he honed his skills while attending Wyandotte High School. His talent on the court caught the attention of college recruiters, and he went on to attend UCLA and play college basketball under the legendary coach John Wooden.
After a successful college career, Allen was drafted into the NBA by the Seattle SuperSonics in 1969. He played for the SuperSonics for two seasons before being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks, where he would achieve the greatest success of his professional career. Alongside fellow star players Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Oscar Robertson, Allen helped lead the Bucks to an NBA Championship in 1971. He would go on to play for several other NBA teams over the course of his career, including the Los Angeles Lakers, the Kansas City Kings, and the Golden State Warriors.
Throughout his basketball career, Lucius Allen was known for his quickness, agility, and scoring ability. He was a key contributor to many successful teams, and his achievements on the court earned him a place in the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame and the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame. After retiring from basketball, Allen went on to work as a coach and mentor to young players. His legacy as a basketball player and a leader in the sport continues to inspire aspiring athletes to this day.
