Malcolm Brogdon is a professional basketball player from the United States who is commonly referred to as “The President” due to his intelligence and leadership qualities on and off the court. Born on December 11th, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia, Brogdon began playing basketball at a young age and quickly developed a passion for the sport.
Brogdon played his college career at the University of Virginia where he became one of the best players in the program's history. He was named the ACC Player of the Year in his senior year and helped lead the team to their first regular-season conference title since 1981. Brogdon’s skill set was so impressive that in the 2016 NBA Draft, he was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round as the 36th overall pick.
In his rookie season, Brogdon proved to be an essential player for the Bucks, starting in 28 games and averaging 10.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game. He was named the NBA Rookie of the Year, becoming the first second-round pick to win the award since Defensive Player of the Year in 1965-66. In the 2019-20 season, Brogdon signed with the Indiana Pacers and continued to demonstrate his exceptional talent and leadership while averaging 16.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game. With his impressive basketball career trajectory, Brogdon has become one of the most highly respected players in the league.
