Marcus Liberty Autographs
Marcus Liberty was born on August 27, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois. Throughout his childhood, he displayed a love for basketball and was a standout player in high school. He was named Illinois Player of the Year in 1987, and went on to play college basketball at the University of Illinois.
During his time at Illinois, Liberty continued to impress as a player. He was a part of the 1989 "Flyin' Illini" team that made it to the Final Four of the NCAA tournament, where they ultimately lost to Michigan. Despite not winning the championship, Liberty was named to the All-Tournament team.
After college, Liberty was drafted by the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the 1990 NBA draft. He played professionally for five seasons, for the Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, and Sacramento Kings. While his NBA career was not as illustrious as his college years, Liberty's talent on the court was undeniable, and he has since been recognized as one of the best high school basketball players to come out of Chicago.
