Marques Johnson Autographs
Marques Johnson is a former American professional basketball player who enjoyed a successful 12-year career in the NBA from 1977 to 1989. He was born on February 8, 1956, in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Johnson grew up in Los Angeles, where he attended Crenshaw High School, and quickly established himself as a talented athlete, particularly in basketball.
After graduating from high school in 1973, Johnson enrolled at UCLA, where he played for the Bruins from 1973 to 1977. During his college career, Johnson helped lead UCLA to an NCAA Championship in 1975, while also being named First-Team All-American twice. He then entered the NBA draft in 1977, where he was selected with the third overall pick by the Milwaukee Bucks. Johnson spent seven seasons with the Bucks, where he established himself as one of the best small forwards in the league, earning five NBA All-Star selections during his tenure.
Johnson's success continued even after Milwaukee traded him to the Los Angeles Clippers in 1984. He played four seasons with the Clippers and one season with the Golden State Warriors before retiring in 1989. Throughout his NBA career, Johnson was known for his versatile skill set, which allowed him to contribute in a variety of ways on the court. He finished his career with averages of 20.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game, cementing his status as one of the top players of his era.
