Michael Cage Autographs
Michael Cage is a former American professional basketball player who played in the NBA for 15 seasons. He was born on January 28, 1962, in West Memphis, Arkansas. Cage played college basketball at San Diego State, where he was named the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 1984.
Cage was selected in the first round of the 1984 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Clippers. He played for the Clippers from 1984-1987 and was a member of the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 1985. He then played for Seattle Supersonics, Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, San Antonio Spurs, and finally Charlotte Hornets, where he ended his playing career in 2000. Over his 15 seasons in the NBA, Cage played 1072 games, scored 7,049 points, and grabbed a total of 8,697 rebounds.
During his playing career, Cage was known for his rebounding skills, which earned him the nickname "The Windex Man." He was a two-time NBA rebounding champion, in 1988 and 1989, and was also named to the NBA All-Defense Second Team in 1988. Cage was a great teammate and always played with an intense passion on the court. After his playing days, he stayed active in basketball and worked as a commentator, reporter, and analyst for various sports networks.
