Nik Stauskas is a Canadian basketball player who was born on October 7, 1993, in Mississauga, Ontario. He attended high school at Loyola Catholic Secondary School, where he played for the Loyola Rams basketball team in Mississauga. Stauskas was a highly-touted recruit and received offers from several major Division I schools. During his time at Michigan, Stauskas became a key player for the Wolverines and helped lead them to two consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, including a trip to the National Championship game in 2013. In his sophomore season, Stauskas was named the Big Ten Player of the Year, and he also earned first-team All-American honors.
