Nykesha Sales Autographs
Nykesha Sales is a former professional basketball player who hails from Connecticut, United States. She was born on May 10, 1976, and began playing basketball at a young age. Sales attended the University of Connecticut from 1994 to 1998, where she had an exceptional college career and helped lead the team to the national championship in 1995. She was named the Big East player of the year twice and became the university's all-time leading scorer with 2,178 points.
After her college career ended, Nykesha Sales was drafted by the Orlando Miracle in the first round of the 1998 WNBA draft. She played for the Miracle for six seasons and then moved on to play for the Connecticut Sun for four more years. She had an impressive professional career, scoring a total of 4,716 points and earning accolades such as being named a WNBA All-Star in 2000 and 2001. Sales was known for her scoring ability, work ethic, and leadership on the court. After retiring from basketball in 2007, she went on to work as a college basketball analyst and coach.
Off the court, Nykesha Sales has been active in charitable work and community service. She established the Nykesha Sales Basketball Camp in 2000 to provide basketball training for youth in Connecticut. She has also worked with various organizations, including the Ronald McDonald House, the Boys and Girls Club, and the Special Olympics. Her contributions to the sport of basketball, both on and off the court, have earned her a place in the Connecticut Women's Basketball Hall of Fame as well as the UConn Huskies of Honor. Sales has left a lasting impact on the game of basketball and continues to inspire young athletes with her dedication to the sport and her community.
