Obi Toppin is a professional basketball player who was born on March 4th, 1998. He was raised in Brooklyn, New York, and began playing basketball when he was just a child. Toppin's talent was quickly evident, and he continued to hone his skills throughout his high school years. Eventually, he attended the University of Dayton where he played NCAA Division I basketball for two seasons.
Toppin's college basketball career was outstanding, and he quickly became one of the top players in the country. During his sophomore season, he led the Dayton Flyers to a 29-2 record while averaging 20 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. He was named the Atlantic 10 Conference's Player of the Year, the Naismith College Player of the Year, and a Consensus All-American. In addition, Toppin set several school records and was a finalist for the John R. Wooden Award.
Following his outstanding college career, Obi Toppin decided to enter the 2020 NBA draft. He was selected by the New York Knicks with the eighth overall pick and has played for the team since then. Toppin's professional career has been marked by his versatility, athleticism, and scoring ability. He has been praised by coaches and fans alike for his work ethic and his commitment to improving his game. Despite being only one year into his professional career, Toppin has shown tremendous potential and looks poised to be a star player in the NBA for many years to come.
