Pat Garrity Autographs
Pat Garrity is a retired American professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for over a decade. He was born on August 23, 1976, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Garrity attended Chaminade College Preparatory School in California before enrolling at the University of Notre Dame to continue his education and basketball career.
Garrity was a dominant player during his time at Notre Dame, establishing himself as one of the top college basketball players in the country. In his senior year, he averaged 23.6 points and 8.3 rebounds per game and was named a consensus All-American. Garrity was then selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the 19th overall pick in the 1998 NBA Draft. However, on draft night, he was traded to the Phoenix Suns for future Hall of Famer Steve Nash.
Garrity spent 10 seasons in the NBA, playing for both the Phoenix Suns and the Orlando Magic. Throughout his career, he was known for his perimeter shooting and ability to stretch the floor. He finished his career with a three-point percentage of 39.4% and made over 700 three-pointers. After retiring in 2008, Garrity continued to stay involved in basketball, serving as an assistant coach for his alma mater, the University of Notre Dame. Garrity's contributions to the game of basketball both as a player and coach have solidified his legacy as one of the greats.
