Rafer Alston Autographs
Rafer Alston, born on July 24, 1976, is a retired American professional basketball player. He attended Benjamin Franklin High School in New York, where he first started to develop his basketball skills. Alston then attended Ventura College in California, where he played college basketball for two years before transferring to Fresno State University.
Alston was drafted in the second round by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 1998 NBA draft but ended up playing in Europe before making his NBA debut with the Milwaukee Bucks in the 1999-2000 season. He was then traded to the Toronto Raptors in 2002 and eventually landed to the Miami Heat. Alston played a pivotal role in helping the Houston Rockets make the playoffs in the 2007-08 season, where he earned the nickname “Skip To My Lou” for his signature moves and flashy ball-handling skills. He retired from the NBA in 2011.
Alston was known for his flashy playing style, exceptional speed, and ball-handling skills, which made him a fan favorite. He was an effective scorer and an excellent passer, who always made sure to involve his teammates in the game. Throughout his career, he faced his share of struggles but always managed to come back stronger.
