Randy Wittman Autographs
Randy Wittman is a former American professional basketball player and coach. Born on October 28, 1959, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Randy grew up in a basketball-loving family, where his father and two older brothers played the sport. Randy started playing basketball at a young age and demonstrated his skills by setting several records while playing for his high school team.
After high school, Randy joined Indiana University and became a vital player for the Hoosiers. He led the team to the 1981 NCAA championship game, where they lost to the North Carolina Tar Heels. Randy was drafted by the Washington Bullets in 1983 and played for several other teams before retiring from basketball in 1992. In his professional basketball career, Randy played in over 800 games and scored more than 5,000 points.
After his retirement from playing basketball, Randy transitioned into coaching. He started his coaching career in 1993 as an assistant coach with the Indiana Pacers. Randy went on to work with several other teams, including the Dallas Mavericks, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Orlando Magic, before finally landing a head coaching position with the Washington Wizards in 2012. His tenure as the Wizards' head coach was marked by several achievements, including leading the team to two consecutive playoff appearances and winning the Southeast Division title in 2014. Randy retired from coaching in 2016, ending a successful career in both playing and coaching basketball.
