Rod Strickland Autographs
Rod Strickland is a retired American professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for 17 seasons from 1988 to 2005. Strickland was born on July 11, 1966, in the Bronx borough of New York City. He attended DePaul University in Chicago, where he played college basketball for the DePaul Blue Demons.
Strickland was selected in the second round of the 1988 NBA draft by the New York Knicks. He played for several teams over the course of his career, including the San Antonio Spurs, Portland Trail Blazers, Washington Wizards, and Miami Heat. Strickland was known for his quickness, ball-handling skills, and ability to drive to the basket. He was also an excellent passer, averaging over six assists per game throughout his career.
During his time in the NBA, Rod Strickland accumulated several accolades, including being named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 1989 and the NBA All-Star team in 1998. He was also a member of the 1994 USA World Championship team that won the gold medal. Strickland retired from professional basketball in 2005 with career averages of 13.2 points, 5.6 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per game. He is widely considered to be one of the best point guards to ever play in the NBA.
