Rodney McGruder Autographs
Rodney McGruder is a professional basketball player who currently plays shooting guard for the Detroit Pistons of the NBA. Born on July 29, 1991, in Landover, Maryland, he attended Archbishop Carroll High School before moving to Notre Dame Preparatory School where he was named the top performer in the 2009 National Prep Showcase. He went on to attend Kansas State University where he played college basketball for four years.
McGruder began his professional basketball career in 2013 when he joined the NBA G League's Sioux Falls Skyforce. He quickly established himself as a valuable player for the team and was named to the NBA G League's All-Rookie Second Team in his first season. He also played for the Miami Heat for three seasons from 2016 to 2019 where he became known for his strong defensive abilities and 3-point shooting. In the 2018-2019 season, he set a new Heat franchise record for the most 3-pointers made by an undrafted player.
Following his time with the Heat, McGruder played for the Los Angeles Clippers and the Detroit Pistons. He has continued to be a strong player, contributing to his teams with his strong shooting and defensive abilities. Throughout his basketball career, McGruder has been known for his work ethic and determination, which have helped him overcome obstacles and succeed at the highest levels of the sport.
