Rolando Blackman Autographs
Rolando Blackman is a retired professional basketball player known for his stellar performance during his career. He was born in Panama City, Panama, in 1959, and moved to New York City while still young. Blackman began playing basketball during his high school days and later went on to play college basketball at Kansas State University.
In 1981, Blackman was selected by the Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the NBA draft as the ninth overall pick. He played for the Mavericks for 11 seasons and in 1984 he helped the team to reach their first playoff appearance. Blackman was named to the All-Star team four times and finished his career as the team's all-time leading scorer. He later joined the New York Knicks where he played for two seasons before transferring to the Seattle Supersonics in 1994 before wrapping up his career in his beloved Mavericks team.
Throughout his career, Blackman showcased his exceptional basketball skills, including his consistent three-point shooting, excellent court vision, and incredible work ethic. He averaged 18.9 points and 4.3 rebounds per game during his career and had 17,623 points in total. In 1987, he won the NBA All-Star shooting contest and was named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 1988. Blackman's success on the court led him to be inducted into the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame in 1999, and the Maverick's Ring of Honor in 2003.
