Scott Padgett Autographs
Scott Padgett, an American professional basketball player, was born on April 19, 1976. Padgett started playing basketball during his high school days at Reno High School in Nevada before he was recruited to play collegiate basketball for the University of Kentucky Wildcats. He played for the Kentucky Wildcats from 1994 to 1999 and was an instrumental figure in the 1998 NCAA Championship title-winning team.
After his college career ended, Padgett declared for the NBA Draft and was picked as 28th overall in the first round by the Utah Jazz in 1999. Padgett played in the NBA for nine seasons from 1999 to 2008. He played for the Utah Jazz from 1999-2002, the Houston Rockets from 2002-2003, Memphis Grizzlies from 2003-2005, and the New Jersey Nets from 2005-2007. Scott’s career highlights include his performances during the 2004 NBA Playoffs, where he scored 16 points to help the Memphis Grizzlies to their first-ever playoff win. Overall, Scott Padgett played 479 games in the NBA, scoring 2,400 points and grabbing 1,189 rebounds.
After retiring from playing basketball, Scott Padgett turned to coaching. In 2012, he began coaching at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where he served as an assistant coach. He coached there for two years before moving on to an assistant coaching position at Manhattan College in New York, from 2014-2017. In 2017, he was named the head basketball coach at Samford University, becoming the 23rd head coach in program history. His stint as head coach saw him as one of the most successful coaches in recent Samford basketball history.
