Sean Rooks Autographs
Sean Rooks was an American professional basketball player who was born on September 9, 1969, in New York City. He attended Fontana High School in California and afterwards, he joined the University of Arizona where he played college basketball for four seasons from 1988 to 1992. During this time, Rooks established himself as a dominant force in the Pac-10 conference and was named to the All-Pac-10 First Team in his senior year.
In the 1992 NBA draft, Rooks was selected by the Dallas Mavericks as the 30th overall pick in the second round. He played for the Mavericks for one season before moving to the Minnesota Timberwolves where he spent two years from 1993 to 1995. During his NBA career, Rooks played for a number of teams including the Los Angeles Lakers, the LA Clippers, New Orleans Hornets, Orlando Magic, and the Dallas Mavericks again before finally retiring in 2004. Over the course of his career, Rooks played in a total of 749 NBA games, averaging 6.2 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
Off the court, Sean Rooks was known as a kind and gentle person who was always willing to help out in the community. He was actively involved in various charitable organizations and often volunteered his time and resources to various causes. Sadly, Rooks passed away on June 7, 2016, at the age of 46 due to a heart attack. His death was widely mourned in the NBA community, with many players and coaches paying tribute to his contributions to the game and to the world at large.
