Sebastian Telfair Autographs
Sebastian Telfair was born on June 9, 1985, in Brooklyn, New York, and is an American former professional basketball player. He became a highly touted high school player who went on to play one year of college basketball before declaring for the NBA draft in 2004. He was selected 13th overall by the Portland Trail Blazers.
Telfair’s professional career spanned from 2004 to 2015. He played for eight different teams in the NBA including the Portland Trail Blazers, Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns, Toronto Raptors, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Tianjin Ronggang in the Chinese Basketball Association. Telfair was known for his exceptional ball handling skills, quickness, and scoring ability, which made him a valuable asset for any team.
Despite a solid career, Telfair's off-court legal troubles overshadowed his basketball achievements. In 2007, he was arrested for carrying a loaded gun in his car, and in 2013, he was sentenced to three years in prison for gun possession. Telfair tried to resume his basketball career after being released from prison, but he was not able to secure a roster spot on any NBA team. He retired from professional basketball in 2015. Despite his legal issues, Telfair is still recognised for his contributions to the game and remains a beloved player for many fans.
