Spud Webb, born on July 13, 1963, in Dallas, Texas, is a former American professional basketball player. Even as a child, Spud loved basketball and would spend every waking moment practicing and honing his skills. Despite his height, which maxed out at 5-foot-7-inches, Spud was determined to make it in the world of basketball. In high school, he played for Wilmer-Hutchins High School and played college basketball for Midland College and North Carolina State University.
