Stacey King is a former professional basketball player who was born on January 29, 1967, in Lawton, Oklahoma. He played college basketball for the University of Oklahoma Sooners where he gained popularity for his exceptional performances on the court. In his senior year, he led the Big Eight conference in scoring and was named to the All-Big Eight First Team. King's outstanding college career in 1989 propelled him to be the sixth overall pick in the NBA draft by the Chicago Bulls.
King's professional career with the Chicago Bulls lasted six seasons from 1989 to 1994, during which he won three championships with the team. Throughout the Bulls' championship run, King was known for his impressive scoring ability both from the post and mid-range areas. He served as a key scorer off the bench during the Bulls' second three-peat, and he played a crucial role in helping the Bulls win their third championship in 1993, scoring 18 points in the series-clinching Game 6 against the Phoenix Suns.
After his stint with the Bulls, King played for three other teams before retiring from basketball in 1997. Although he never replicated the success he had with the Bulls, King's basketball journey remains an inspiration to many young players who aspire to make it to the top of the sport.
